Elizabeth Assis

During the Covid lock down one resident began to neglect her appearance, she became withdrawn did'nt want to get dressed did'nt comb her hair to the point where it became matted. Various staff tried to establish why she whom have been so proud of her appearance have now neglected herself. 

Elizabeth a night carer who speak Spanish was able to establish the reason, the resident said she had become depress as she was not able to go to her hairdresser to get her hair done.

Elizabeth went out and got her some hair products, and arranged with the resident that she will came in during the day and do her hair. Elizabeth gave this resident a total make over the transformation took us all by surprise, this resident's mood was lifted and she now started taking pride in her appearance again.

What makes Elizabeth stand out is the time she took to come in to support this residents and this was not a one off make over, she continue to do this every two weeks.
