Everyone at Mayfields

The carers looked after my dear husband of 63 years as I caught COVID-19 whilst in Countess of Chester.

I was unable to visit my husband for five weeks and then only eleven half hour visits outside. I was not allowed to touch even on his 90th Birthday and our 63rd wedding Anniversary.

He was in hospital for 2 weeks then transferred back to the carers who had looked after him.

My daughter and I were allowed to sit with him for one hour a day where he slept his final hours. He passed away October 26, 2020. That was first time we had seen his room and the carers were so kind to my daughter and myself for those few hours until he was released from that prison which is called vascular dementia.

I cannot praise those carers too highly and will be eternally grateful to all whom we met.
